Essex is Englands third largest county. It is often unfairly maligned by the media. Despite what some people say Essex has beautiful countryside with rolling hills and picturesque towns and villages. Englands oldest recorded town is in the county along with the largest Norman Keep anywhere and a 1300 year old Saxon Church. Dedham Vale, the home of John Constable is in the north of the county. In the south is Epping Forest an ancient woodland that stretches for 13 miles out from East London
